SSB issues first job advertisement notice after 10 months | KNO

8575 vacancies to be filled

Srinagar, June 26 (KNO): In the first such notice issued by it after a gap of 10 months, Jammu & Kashmir’s premier recruiting agency- Services Selection Board- has advertised 8575 posts. This is the first job advertisement notice issued by SSB after August 5, 2019 when Centre abrogated J&K’s special status and bifurcated it into two Union Territories. According to the notification, a copy which lies with news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the selection will be carried under the provisions of Jammu and Kashmir Class 4th special recruitment rules. Before August 5, 2019 only J&K’s permanent resident were eligible for jobs in Jammu and Kashmir. Now jobs are open for domiciles of J&K UT. Of these posts, 493 are UT cadre vacancies and 1545 and 1616 have been advertised for Jammu and Kashmir divisions respectively. Of 4951 district cadre posts ,393 have been advertised for Anantnag, 165 for Bandipora, 563 for Baramulla, 399 for Budgam , 304 for Doda, 116 for Ganderbal, 439 for Jammu , 385 for Kathua, 114 for Kishtwar, 147 for Kulgam , 281 for Kupwara, 106 for Poonch , 116 for Pulwama , 268 for Rajouri , 158 for Ramban , 139 for Reasi, 97 for Samba ,132 for Shopian , 320 for Srinagar and 279 for Udhampur. These posts were created by successive regimes of J&K in different departments like Health and Medical Education, Public Works Department, Forest, Ecology & Environment , Department, Revenue Department, Higher Education Department, Rural Development Department, Finance Department, General Administration, Department, Cooperative Department, Estates Department, Labour and Employment Department—(KNO)
